EVA Air and its Hello Kitty Jets have won a special Global Traveler magazine Leisure Lifestyle Award for Outstanding Customized Service, recognizing the airline for “going beyond what is expected” and “doing something extraordinary.” The magazine presented the award at a glamorous poolside event in Los Angeles on May 19, 2016.
EVA Air will launch nonstop flights from Chicago to Taipei on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2016.
In a nod to EVA Air’s core commitment to quality service, the panel of wine experts who judged Business Traveller Magazine’s prestigious annual Cellars in the Sky 2015 competition awarded the airline top honors in two categories and second place in a third. EVA won Gold Medals for the Best Business Class Cellar and the Best Business Class Red Wine.
EVA Air launched nonstop service between Taipei and Istanbul, using Boeing 777-300ERs and starting with four flights a week today (on 5 March, 2016). Turkish Trade Office Representative Ismet Erikan and EVA Executive Vice President Glenn Chai, along with nearly 300 passengers were aboard EVA’s maiden flight to Istanbul.
Taiwan President Ma Ying-jeou honored Evergreen Group founder Dr. Chang Yung-Fa with a posthumous commendation in recognition of his contributions to international transportation and social welfare during the memorial service today. Taiwan’s Education Minister and the Minister of Transportation and Communications also offered homage to Dr. Chang with the First-Class Professional Education Medal and First-Class Professional Transportation Medal.

EVA Air is launching a custom-made Star Alliance campaign featuring world-renowned dancer Fang-Yi Sheu that focuses on the Alliance’s global network and the benefits and recognition it offers high-value international travelers (HVIT). The campaign is being launched on EVA’s inflight entertainment systems, in its airport VIP lounges, via its social media as well as Star Alliance’s website and social media.
