EVA Air will not be using Ukrainian airspace
Out of regard for the safety and well-being of our passengers and crew and in response to the tragic downing of Malaysia Airlines flight MH17, we have rerouted all EVA Air flights. We are making every effort to ensure that our flights do not drift into Ukrainian airspace by serving our European destinations with a southern route over Turkey. The southern route adds approximately 20 minutes of flight time to each trip.
From our hub in Taipei, EVA serves Amsterdam, London, Vienna and Paris with a combined total of 18 flights a week. We also operate an additional two freighter flights a week between Frankfurt and Delhi. EVA will continue to avoid flying through Ukrainian airspace and closely monitor developments throughout the region.
