Whom should I contact if I did not receive an EVA AIR ELECTRONIC TICKET RECEIPT after completing my purchase online?
As soon as you complete and confirm your booking, a reservation reference number and ticket number will be displayed on the screen or such information will be provided by e-mail afterwards. Please contact us by Phone at EVA AIR Reservation if you have not received it. We will resend it to your E-mail address that you provided to us.
This is my first time to buy a ticket on the EVA website. What should I pay attention to?

I am an EVA frequent flyer member. What kind of discount will EVA provide if I buy tickets on the EVA website?

To express EVA’s appreciation to all of our frequent flyer members for their support, the EVA website frequently announces promotional fares to only these select members. Please log in with your member data before going to Online Reservation.


Members will be able to view special unannounced promotions with some mileage deductions. Please refer to PROMOTIONS for complete details.

Can I apply for a refund using the EVA Web site?
If you purchased the ticket on the EVA Web site, it can be refunded through our online system.. After you have completed a refund application, you can inquire about the progress of the process on our Web site using your credit card number and the passenger name. Refund processing time is approximately two months and any applicable service charges will be applied accordingly.
Are there any additional travel charges other than the ticket fare (i.e. airport tax) that I have to pay?
There are travel taxes and fees that may be required in addition to your ticket fare. Most of these are set by government authorities or airport operators at arrival and departure points. These taxes and additional charges may be included or excluded in ticket fares, and you may also be required to pay additional taxes or travel charges upon arrival or departure at an airport.
Where do I get the ticket I have purchased online?
As soon as an electronic ticket is issued, all of your ticket data is stored in our electronic database. When you check-in at the airport, you can easily get your boarding pass by presenting your passport and the credit card you used to pay for the ticket.
How many passengers can I book with one reservation?
Reservations can include up to 4 passengers per transaction. Children aged 2 to 11 years old (at the time of travel) must be accompanied by an adult (aged 16 years or older) listed in the reservation. Infant / child fare will be charged when infant (under 2 years of age)travels with a parent / guardian and the infant does not occupy a seat. Can I make a change or cancel in routing using a ticket purchased through the EVA online booking system? If changes have not been made before departure, can I just show up at the airport and take care of it when I check in for the flight?
Any changes in your travel date or routing are subject to applicable fare rules/conditions, in addition to seat availability, and passengers need to contact one of our ticketing offices in advance to make the necessary changes. Otherwise the booking or ticket may not be accepted upon check-in at the airport and passenger may have to purchase a new ticket for travel on the desired dates and routing.
Can passengers who are not the Infinity MileageLands members use the EVA online booking system? What kind of discount will EVA provide if members buy tickets on the EVA website?

As long as your travel meets the Terms and Conditions that apply to our online booking system, you can make your reservation and buy your ticket on EVA Air’s Web site.  Though we welcome your Evergreen Club membership, you do not have to be a member of our frequent flyer program to book travel online.

If I already have a ticket, can I make a reservation through the online booking system?
Please contact an EVA reservation/ticketing office to make your reservation if you are already holding a ticket.
Can I change the passenger name after I have completed my purchase online?
Names cannot be changed. If a ticketed passenger will not be traveling, please apply for a ticket refund. To minimize inconvenience to our passengers, we must confirm the accuracy of all the passenger information we are given. If you are an Evergreen Club member, please be sure your name appears on Evergreen Club membership materials in the same way it is shown on your passport. Use your name as it appears on these documents to make your online bookings and ensure that all your mileage credits are accumulated.
Why is it necessary for the credit card used to purchase the ticket to be presented at the counter upon check-in at the airport?

This requirement safeguards the cardholder and helps prevent credit card fraud. All passengers who purchase tickets online are required to present the credit card they used when they check in at the airport. EVA Air may reserve the right to deny boarding to passengers who fail to present the original credit card used to purchase ticket.

Can I select my seat when I book and buy my ticket online?
Yes. If you already purchased the ticket on the EVA Web site and your flights are on EVA Air, you can make seat assignment online. Online seat selection is available up to 24 hours before your scheduled flight departure. Passengers who have used our advance seat selection service are requested to complete check-in procedures at least one hour before their flight is scheduled to depart. EVA Air and UNI Air may adjust seats other than those being pre-selected by passengers for flight type change or airport operating requirements.
Can I be wait-listed for a flight or keep my return travel date open when I book online?
No, for wait-list bookings and itineraries with open dates, please contact our reservation office.

  1. To use debit cards issued in China, please make sure your issuing bank has authorized the card for online use.
  2. You can use Visa and MasterCard if they are the type with the card number and name stamped into them. Please type your first and last names exactly as they appear on the credit card. Please ensure that you have registered for Verified by Visa (Visa) or MasterCard SecureCode (MasterCard) if your card issuer offers these online security features.

*Passenger or one of the travel companions must be the credit card holder. You are required to present the credit card used to purchase the ticket during check-in at the airport. Passengers who fail to do so will be denied boarding unless they purchase a full-fare ticket at the airport ticket counter.

Can I use my credit card to buy a ticket for someone else?

Yes, so long as that person is traveling on the same flight with you. If you, as the credit card holder, will not be among the travel party, you must present your credit card and passport/ legally acceptable photo ID to EVA Air and sign an indemnity form. This can be done in one of two ways:

  • Visit any EVA Air office during business hours and at least 48 hours before the passenger's scheduled departure. You must bring your credit card, passport/ legally acceptable photo ID and sign an Indemnity of Payment form
  • Visit the EVA Air counter at the airport at least one hour before scheduled departure. You must bring your credit card, passport/ legally acceptable photo ID and sign an Indemnity of Payment form
After my seat has been selected and confirmed, can I change it online?
Yes, you can use the online seat selection to change your seat.
Can I reserve a special meal using the EVA online booking system?

Yes, special meals are available to passengers for age, medical, dietary or religious reasons, and you can reserve one using our Web site because of any of these requirements at least 24 hours before your scheduled flight departure. If the special meal you require is not listed in our meal list online, please contact one of our reservation offices. 

If you need special meal services on another airline, please contact the other airline directly but cannot guarantee that the carrier can provide it. Special meal service depends upon whether the other airline has it available or not.

How far in advance can I book my flight?
Reservations can be made from 3-7 hours (depends on flights) to 360 days before departure. Upon completion of the booking, a reservation reference number and ticket number will be generated automatically by the system.
How will I know when my ticket has been issued?

As soon as you complete and confirm your booking, a reservation reference number and ticket number will be displayed on the screen immediately or such information will be provided by e-mail afterwards.

Is it secure to purchase an air ticket on the website?
Yes, it's secure. While you type in sensitive information such as credit card details to purchase an air ticket on the website, all your personal information will be automatically converted into codes before being securely dispatched over the Internet. Your personal data will be used to assist EVA AIR in providing better services to you. We will not sell or rent the data to third parties without your consent. For details, please refer to the 'Privacy & Security Statement ' of EVA AIR Website.
Why passenger got the different price between Mobile message and ticketing information after they finished online reservation?
Due to our online reservation has adapted to SITA CCA authorization system to obtain approval code, that it will automatically convert the currency to US dollar in order to get approval code. Some banks may send instant message to passengers immediately when this process begins to take place. Since the currency conversion depends on the international exchange rate, which changes constantly, the actual exchange rate that applies to the payment depends on when the confirmation has completed. There may be some minor differences in between the mobile message and the actual payment because the instant message is calculated in US dollar and converted to local currency via issuing bank setting.
What other products does EVA sell on its website besides tickets?

The EVA website not only allows you to purchase tickets, but also offers the following services:

What is US DOT 24-hour reservation requirement?
Routing to/from USA: A no-penalty 100% refund will be given if the refund application is made within 24 hours of purchase and if the ticket purchase was made at least 168 hours prior to the first flight departure.
What are the Verified by Visa, MasterCard® SecureCode™ and American Express SafeKey®?

They are online security verification services launched by international card-issuers, namely Visa, MasterCard and American Express, which require the cardholders to supply both the credit card information and a personal security password to complete the authorization process, in order to prove that the transaction is made by the actual cardholders. If your card-issuer offers Verified by Visa, MasterCard® SecureCode™ or American Express SafeKey®, our e-ticketing website will automatically take you to your card issuer’s website, where you will be required to enter your personal password. 

If your card issuer does not offer such verification services, you will be required to present the credit card used in your ticketing transaction upon check-in at the airport for verification purposes, noting that the cardholder must be one of the travel companions.
