ICES (India Customs EDI System) ACI (Advance Commercial Information) AMS (Automated Manifest System)
ICES (India Customs EDI System)
From Aug 1, 2006, EVA Air is required to transmit accurate and complete cargo information, including master air waybill (MAWB) and house air waybill (HAWB) data, to Indian Customs prior to the arrival of aircraft landing in India. To comply with these regulations, EVA Air offers the following options to customers to allow them to transmit HAWB data (Details please refer ICES NEWS FLASH)
1. Direct data transmission to India by forwarder: No charge will be incurred if you are certified to transmit HAWB information to ICES directly. In this case, you will be liable for the accuracy of the reported data and need to provide a 16-digit agent number in the handling information box of the MAWB.
2. Electronic data exchange (EDI): a.) Please send EDI direct to TPETVBR (SITA address) using FHL/2 format. b.) These messages must be transmitted and received prior to shipment acceptance.
3. Manual input of HAWB data by EVA AIR:
ACI (Advance Commercial Information)
We are pleased to announce that EVA Air has just passed the validation test of its Advance Commercial Information (ACI) system and been certified by Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) on 24th February, 2006.
Since CBSA announced to setup the ACI system and requested carriers and freight forwarders electronically transmitting cargo/conveyance/supplementary data to CBSA to replace current manual clearance process by June, 2006. EVA Air has led other airlines in Taiwan acquired the authentication and plan to implement the system in April, 2006.
EVA Air will retrieve electronic data of cargo and conveyance information from cargo agents via Cargo Portal / FTP and transmit Master/House Air waybills data in certain format which regulated by CBSA through its ACI system within 4hours prior to arrival at first port of Canada. Said data would be electronically processed by CBSA for customs clearance. This newly developed EVA Air ACI system will not only minimize the Canadian customs clearance time in processing air cargo, but also providing instant freight status and high quality service to its customers.
AMS (Automated Manifest System )
The Automated Manifest System (AMS) developed by U.S. Customs allows participants to send the data required to clear cargo shipments electronically. EVA Air's use of the AMS electronic data processing program produces noteworthy advantages.
- Pre-clearance of inbound freight for immediate forwarding to destinations beyond the U.S. Customs gateway.
- Improved communications between airlines, U.S. Customs, brokers, forwarders and consolidators.
- A strong competitive edge as a result of faster shipment clearance.
- Reduced paper processing costs.
- Continuous data processing, 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.
EVA was the first Taiwan-based carrier to connect to the AMS for all its U.S. gateways. Our use of the AMS is one more example of our commitment to customer satisfaction.
At EVA Air Cargo, customer service is our top priority. With this commitment, we are continually refining our strategies and operations to best suit our customers' needs.
