To serve passenger demand for the peak summer season, EVA Air is increasing frequency to Vancouver from three flights per week to four, starting April 11. It will add a fifth flight on June 14, and will serve the route using its giant B747-400s. Passengers can make reservations now.
EVA’s Vancouver service, co-shared with Air Canada, now departs Taipei’s Chiang Kai-Shek International Airport on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 11:55 p.m. (23:55) and arrives in Vancouver at 7:25 p.m. (19:25) the same day. Return flights depart Vancouver at 1:50 a.m. on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday and arrive in Taipei at 5:15 a.m. the next day. On April 11, EVA will add Sunday service, and from June 14 through Oct. 25, it will offer a Saturday flight.
“Summer is peak season on the Vancouver route because many Asian immigrants choose to return to Taipei or Hong Kong to visit their families during this time,” said K.W. Nieh, senior vice president, EVA Airways. “And we welcome the opportunity to enhance the enjoyment of these reunions by making EVA Air’s flights as easy, convenient and comfortable as possible.”
EVA’s summer schedule flight time from Taipei to Vancouver is 11 ½ hours, and from Vancouver to Taipei, it is 11 ¼ hours. Though its code-sharing alliance with Air Canada, EVA handles operations and provides the equipment for transpacific service. |
