EVA Air will launch services to Hanoi, the largest city in northern Vietnam, starting May 9, 2003 with four flights per week from Taipei, Taiwan. Passengers can book flights now.
EVA flight BR397 will depart Chiang Kai-Shek International Airport (CKS) at 9:00 am every Monday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday, and arrive at Hanoi International Airport at 11:40 am local time. Return flight BR398 will depart Hanoi at 12:40 pm on the same days, and arrive back in Taipei at 5:05 pm. Flight time is approximately 3.5 hours in each direction.
“Once the service is launched, EVA Air will work with travel agents to design tour packages featuring highlights of northern Vietnam,” said K. W. Nieh, senior vice president, Public Relations Division, EVA Air. “Passengers will be able to combine this new Hanoi service with our current 11 weekly flights to Ho Chi-Minh City, and enjoy increased flexibility in both business and leisure travel.”
EVA will initiate the new Hanoi service using a MD-90 aircraft configured for 152 passengers with 12 seats in Business and 140 in Economy Class.
EVA entered the Vietnam market in Sept. 1992 with flights to Ho Chi-Minh City. The airline serves North American gateways in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Vancouver and Newark. |
