EVA Introduces Increased Flight Frequency For Winter Schedule

EVA Air announced today that flight frequencies on key routes, including London, Brisbane, Auckland and the charter service to Seoul, will be increased from October 26 when the winter timetable comes into effect.  The Taipei to Penang service will also be resumed, offering four direct flights per week.
The enhanced service comes in response to the widespread recovery of the travel industry.
For the duration of the winter schedule, which runs from October 26, 2003 to March 27, 2004, EVA Air's Taipei to Brisbane frequency will be increased from two to three weekly flights. Taipei-Auckland flights will be increased from two to four per week, with the two additional flights operated by EVA Air under a code-share agreement with Air New Zealand.  The Taipei to London service will be increased from four to five flights per week.   The charter service from Taipei to Seoul will be increased to three flights per week throughout October and November, becoming a daily service from December 1.
EVA Air will operate the Taipei-Penang route with MD-90 aircraft, providing 12 business and 122 economy seats. Flight BR281 will depart from Taiwan's CKS Airport at 9.50am every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, arriving in Penang at 2.30pm.  The return flight BR282 will leave Penang at 3.30pm and arrive back at CKS airport at 7.15pm. The flight duration is around four and a half hours each way.
EVA Air has called for customers to be aware of altered arrival and departure times during the winter schedule as summer daylight saving comes to an end. Passengers should check the EVA website for the most up to date flight schedule at www.evaair.com.
