“Steady global economic growth continues to create demand for new cargo routes and increased frequency,” said K.W. Nieh, Executive Vice President, EVA Air. “Our reliability and quality service in combination with generous capacity and an already well-developed network consistently give us a solid structure for meeting this demand successfully.”
EVA launched Taipei-Osaka cargo service last March with one flight per week and is raising frequency to three weekly flights with the start of the summer schedule this spring.
EVA was ranked among the World’s Top 10 Cargo Airlines by Airline Business. Its approach to development of its global cargo network is aggressive. It serves airfreight customers with a fleet of 18 freighters, including 15 MD-11s with the three new aircraft among them, and three B747-400s. It also operates nine B747-400 combis.
In Europe, the carrier flies dedicated cargo services to London, Frankfurt, Vienna, Milan and Brussels. It located its EVA Cargo Center – Europe strategically in Brussels and uses the facility as a staging point for far-reaching European operations. By combining heavy frequency, Brussels’ excellent geographic position, and a highly effective trucking system, EVA significantly elevated the level of its cargo services to Europe. |
