Air Cargo Excellence Survey Ranks EVA 6th Among Top 50 Carriers
Freight forwarders rate airlines in annual worldwide ranking

TAIPEI, TAIWAN, (03 April, 2008) – In Air Cargo World’s fourth annual worldwide Air Cargo Excellence survey, EVA Air ranks sixth, right behind first place Lufthansa, Swiss WorldCargo, Emirates Sky Cargo, KLM and Japan Airlines.  The industry publisher rated 50 air- freight carriers out of 84 initially listed on a Dec. 2007 survey.

EVA’s 2008 ranking is an improvement over its 2007 performance when, still above the industry average, it ranked 15th.   In December 2007, the magazine invited 3,300 of its airline subscribers and 16,900 freight forwarders to score carriers they had done business with in the past 12 months.   Carriers were rated in customer service, performance, value and information technology.
“EVA Air scores are consistently outstanding across the board and among the best as voted by its customers,” said Paul Page, Air Cargo World editor.

The Air Cargo Excellence survey was created to provide insight into the industry and recognize carriers that perform at a level above the norm.
“It’s gratifying that our customers acknowledge our ongoing commitment to excellence and continuous improvement,” said K.W. Nieh, executive vice president, EVA Air.  “We’re aiming to move up even higher in the Air Cargo Excellence rankings next year.”
