Miyazaki, ex-funnyman governor is its best salesman
Located south of Fukuoka and Kumamoto on the Pacific coast, northeast of Kagoshima, Miyazaki is recognized as Japan’s largest producer of chicken, green pepper and sweet bean.  It’s also the birthplace of Japanese mythology. Its residents elected a well-known former comedian to be governor in 2007 and he became an exceptionally effective salesman, promoting Miyazaki all over Japan. Media reports of his performance dubbed him the “Miyazaki Phenomenon.”
EVA has worked with travel agents to design special tour packages that feature itinerary choices such as Fukuoka as the arrival destination and Miyazaki as the departure gateway. Travelers can plan their trips to include a stop in Kagoshima to experience the world’s top-10 sand bathes.

Komatsu, hometown of former Prime Minister Yoshiro Mori
Komatsu Airport is in Ishikawa Prefecture, north of Nagoya on the Sea of Japan.  A modern city founded in 1940, Komatsu’s history extends to feudal times.  Attractions include the Nata-Dera Buddhist temple complex, Yunokuni-no-mori traditional handicrafts village and the huge Motorcar Museum of Japan.  The inviting Kaga hot-springs district is nearby.  And it’s the birthplace of Japan’s former Prime Minister Yoshiro Mori.
EVA has also worked with travel agents to create tour packages for this region of Japan, enabling travelers to arrive in Nagoya and depart from Komatsu.
