EVA Air Earns Reader’s Digest Trusted Brands Platinum Award

In the recently published 2008 Reader’s Digest Trusted Brands survey, EVA Air yet again won the platinum award in the airline category. The airline has ranked in the Trusted Brands Awards every year since 1999, and this year marks the third time EVA Air has been honored with the platinum award.
The platinum winner not only must attain the highest score among all nominated airlines, but is required to achieve a score twice that of the runner-up. By winning the extremely rare platinum award, EVA Air has once again proven its excellence. The survey was carried out by leading marketing information company ACNielsen and included 43 categories, in which 15 brands won platinum and 78 won the gold award.
EVA Air remains the only platinum winner among all Taiwan-based airlines.
Brands that have won Trusted Brands Awards for 10 years in a row have six core qualities: trustworthiness, credibility of image, quality, value, understanding of consumers’ needs, and the ability to innovate. EVA Air has continually strived to improve every aspect of service quality. The carrier is also well known in the aviation industry for its immaculate safety record. To provide even better service, it introduced brand-new A330-200 and B777-300ER aircraft into the fleet in 2003 and 2005 respectively.
Throughout the first half of 2008, EVA Air has won numerous international awards. It garnered the top prize at Global Traveler magazine’s Wines on the Wing International Business Class Airline Wine Competition. In Business Traveler’s Cellars in the Sky business class airline wine competition, the airline won second prize in the red wine category and fifth prize in the white wine category. EVA Air also won silver in the major airline category of travel magazine Wanderlust’s annual travel award. And for cargo-carrying excellence, the carrier earned sixth place in Air Cargo World magazine’s Air Cargo Excellence Survey.
