New Endorsement Waiver Agreement Paves
the Way To More Flexible Travel

Since the introduction of cross-strait direct charter flights, EVA Air passengers traveling between Taiwan and China have enjoyed greater freedom and convenience. However, with a total of only 18 such flights per week, options are limited when travelers want to change flights after purchasing a ticket. To address this issue. EVA Air and UNI Air signed an endorsement waiver agreement (EWA) with Shanghai Airlines and China Eastern Airlines on July 4. The agreement allows passengers holding EVA Air and UNI Air tickets to switch to Shanghai Airlines or China Eastern Airlines flights.

At the present stage, the EWA covers only individual electronic tickets and tickets purchased at airports. Group tickets, discounted tickets, and tickets with other restrictions are not covered by the agreement.
Passengers with qualifying tickets may ask the issuing airline to change their flight to one operated by a different airline. The new service will significantly enhance the flexibility and convenience of the new cross-strait direct charter flights.
