EVA Air will suspend all international transit services via Taiwan starting from 00:00 Taipei Standard Time (GMT+8) on March 24 (Tuesday)

In compliance with the latest instruction by Taiwan’s Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC), EVA Air will suspend all international transit services via Taiwan starting from 00:00 Taipei Standard Time (GMT+8) on March 24 (Tuesday).

Due to Mainland China’s COVID-19 customs and quarantine policy, flights arriving to/departing from Hongqiao Airport (SHA) will be moved to Pudong Airport (PVG).

According Mainland China’s central customs and quarantine controls, all international flights from Hongqiao Airport (SHA) will be operated from Pudong Airport (PVG) beginning 00:00 local time on 25MAR.

EVA Air Flight Update Taiwan – The Philippines Service

EVA Air Precautions Against New Coronavirus

EVA Air does not fly to Wuhan. Nevertheless, we are taking every precaution against the new coronavirus and making every effort to help prevent an epidemic. On all our flights to and from high-risk areas such as Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau, we require crew members to wear sanitary masks and, after meals when they collect food trays from passengers, use gloves. If crew members on other routes encounter passengers who appear ill or seem to have a virus, they take precautions, wear masks and wash their hands frequently.

With the advent of 2020, EVA Air invited Kyoto chef Motokazu Nakamura, whose restaurant has held three Michelin stars for 10 consecutive years, to launch a special New Year menu for Royal Laurel Class, Premium Laurel Class, and Business Class passengers flying from Taipei to Paris, Tokyo (Narita), and Osaka. For the appetizer dishes, Nakamura used ingredients that represent longevity, health, a rich harvest, and numerous offspring, such as black beans and marinated herring roe.
