EVA Air has renamed the innovative in-between cabin that it launched on 12 December, 1992 Premium Economy Class. Known as Elite Class since 2005 when it was significantly upgraded, the new name comes with added comforts, amenities and upgrades and makes it easier for passengers to select and book the service. Popular for business and leisure travel, the cabin is available on EVA’s selected flights in Asia, also on long-haul flights to North America and Europe operated with Boeing 777-300ERs. EVA Airways Corporation has promoted Passenger Management Division Executive Vice President Clay Sun to president, effective upon retirement of current President Dereck Chen on 1 January, 2018. The EVA Board of Directors announced the selection after their 10 November, 2017 meeting.
