EVA has been certified as a SKYTRAX 5-Star Airline for the fourth year in a row and won double top spots for the World’s Best Airline Cabin Cleanliness and Best Economy Class Onboard Catering. EVA Air will launch flights to three more destinations in Japan in 2019, complementing the eight gateways it is serving now. Subject to government approvals, EVA will initiate flights from Taoyuan International Airport near Taipei, Taiwan to Nagoya, Aomori and Matsuyama, starting in the second quarter and continuing through the third. TAIPEI, TAIWAN (October 22, 2018) --EVA Air showcased its first Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner in a grand debut event at Evergreen Aviation Technologies Corp.’s Hangar No. 3. EVA Chairman Steve Lin officially hosted the event and welcomed Taiwan’s aviation authorities, travel agencies, air cargo freight forwarders, EVA social media fans and employees. Approximately 400 guests celebrated with EVA as it unveiled its first 787-9 Dreamliner.

TripAdvisor, the world’s largest travel site, has revealed EVA Air as a winner in four categories of its second annual Travelers’ Choice Awards for Airlines.
EVA Air added its popular Hello Kitty Hand-in-Hand Jet into its Los Angeles schedule on March 27, 2018. It is using the specially painted plane on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday for three of the 21 nonstop flights it operates between Los Angeles and Taipei, Taiwan every week. EVA Air will launch daily nonstop flights between Taipei and Chiang Mai, starting on 1 July, 2018. The airline will serve the route with an Airbus A321-200 configured in Business and Economy Classes for 184 passengers. The new route will give passengers on EVA’s 82 weekly flights from North America more convenient access to the largest city in Northern Thailand via easy, one-stop connections through Taipei.
