Handling Guideline of EVA/UNI AIR International Flights affected by COVID-19 (Aug 14 Updated)

  1. Eligibility
    For passengers holding EVA(695)/UNI AIR(525) tickets with confirmed booking on BR/B7 international、cross-strait and Hong Kong/Macau flights
    1. (a) Tickets issued on/before 12AUG, 2020 and
      (b) Ticketed flight date :
      Italy Between : 01JUN,2020 and 31JAN, 2021
      Others Between : 01JUN,2020 and 31DEC, 2020
    2. Regardless the ticket issuing date, for passenger’s flight date between 01JUN,2020 and 31DEC, 2020 who are not entitled to enter/transfer or required to isolate/quarantine based on each country's regulation for COVID-19 ( related documents shall be attached).
    3. For eligible passengers encountered flight cancellation are also subject to this handling guideline regardless the ticket issuing date and flight date.
  2. Application
    The application must be submitted on/before 31DEC, 2020.
  3. Provisions of Rebooking/Reissue
    1. Within ticket validity, passengers may change the flight/date and pay the fare, tax differences and booking service charge with reassessment of the applicable fare and the reissue fee can be waived for ONE transaction.
    2. The booking service charge should be imposed on any change to the totally unused ticket issued/reissued on/before 30JUN, 2020.
    3. For tickets purchased from travel agents, please contact the original issuing agent for rebooking and ticket change.
  4. Refund
    1. Refund fee of the tickets and/or ancillary services will be waived. The Booking Service Charge paid for the unused coupons may be refunded as well.
    2. For tickets purchased or modified from EVA AIR official website, please submit a refund application through EVA AIR website. For tickets purchased from EVA/UNI AIR ticketing channels, please contact EVA/UNI AIR reservation and ticketing office to arrange a refund.
    3. For tickets purchased from travel agents, please contact your travel agent for refunds.
  5. No-show passengers will not be exempted from no-show fee.
  6. For passengers who had been exempt from paying the reissue fee based on this handling guideline can still refund free of charge when submit refund on/before the application date of BM.
  7. Award ticket and upgrade with mileages
    Please contact EVA/UNI AIR reservation and ticketing office for rebooking or refund.
    Refund fee can be waived and service fee such as reissue fee can be exempted for ONE transaction. Expired miles are exempt from collection provided the revised itinerary meets the same criteria as the previous ticket.
  8. Group passengers
    Please refer to the original issuing agent.
  9. Free and reduced fare tickets
    Such as ID/AD/DM tickets, are not applicable to this provision.
  10. For change and refund applied on/after 14AUG, 2020 , please follow the instruction of this handling guideline.
  11. The passenger who has been charged on/before 13AUG, 2020 is not allowed to reimburse the reissue/refund fee based on this bulletin.

1. Eligibility

1. Eligibility For passengers holding EVA(695)/UNI AIR(525) tickets with confirmed booking on BR/B7 international、cross-strait and Hong Kong/Macau flights 

A. (a) Original Ticket issued date : on/before 01JUN, 2020 and 

(b) Current Ticketed Flight date:

  • Kunming, Huangshan, Xian, Taiyuan, Zhengzhou, Jinan, Shenyang, Guilin , Hohhot, Harbin 
    Between 2020-06-01 and 2020-10-24
  • Italy 
    Between 2020-06-01 and 2021-01-31
  • Phuket 
    Between 2020-06-01 and 2020-09-28
  • Others 
    Between 2020-06-01 and 2020-08-31 

B. Regardless the ticket issuing date, for passenger’s flight date between 01JUN, 2020 and 31AUG, 2020 who are not entitled to enter/transfer or required to isolate/quarantine based on each country's regulation for COVID-19 ( related documents shall be attached).

C. For eligible passengers encountered flight cancellation or schedule change of the flight date between 01JUN, 2020 and 31AUG, 2020 are also subject to this handling guideline regardless the ticket issuing date.

2. Application

The application must be submitted on/before 03SEP, 2020.

3. Provisions of Rebooking/Reissue

A. Within the ticket validity, passengers may change to BR/B7 flights departing on/before 31DEC, 2020 ( Only Italy route may change to flights departing in 2021) the reissue fee will be waived for ONE transaction, provided that:

(a) RBD and routing (city) remains unchanged, change to other BR/B7 flights may be made and the fare/tax difference should be paid by the passenger. Endorse to other carriers is not permitted.  

(b) Destination remains unchanged, re-accommodation may be made in accordance with the fare rule where interline carrier(s) involved, however, the fare/tax differences should be paid by the passenger.

(c) For conditions other than (a) (b) above, changes should be made subject to the fare rule and the fare/tax differences should be paid by the passenger.

B. For tickets purchased from travel agents, please contact the original issuing agent for rebooking and ticket change. 

4. Refund

A. Refund fee of the tickets and/or ancillary services will be waived. 

B. For tickets purchased or modified from EVA AIR official website, please submit a refund application through EVA AIR website. For tickets purchased from EVA/UNI AIR ticketing channels, please contact EVA/UNI AIR reservation and ticketing office to arrange a refund.

C. For tickets purchased from travel agents, please contact your travel agent for refunds. 

5. No-show passengers will not be exempted from no-show fee.

6. For those reissued tickets with change fee waived may also exempt from cancellation fee provided the new travel date on the reissued ticket as well as the refund application date meets the criteria of this handling guideline.

7. Award ticket and upgrade with mileages

A. (a) Original Ticket issued date : on/before 2020-05-07 , and

    (b) Current Ticketed Flight date :

B. Regardless the ticket issuing date, for passenger’s flight date between 2020-06-01 and 2020-06-30, who are not entitled to enter/transfer or required to isolate/quarantine based on each country's regulation for COVID-19 (related documents shall be attached).

C. For eligible passengers encountered flight cancellation or schedule change with the flight date between 2020-06-01 and 2020-06-30 are also subject to this handling guideline regardless the ticket issuing date.

2. Applicable period

The application must be submitted on/before 2020-07-07.

3. Provisions of Rebooking/Reissue

A. Passengers may change the flights departing on/before 2020-12-31 within ticket validity (Only Italy route may change the flights departing till 2021) and the reissue fee will be waived for ONE transaction.

(a) Provided that no changes made on RBD and routing (city) to the new EVA/UNI AIR operated flight, and the fare/tax difference should be collected if reissue. Endorse to flights operated by other carriers is not permitted.

(b) Tickets with interline connecting flight involved, re-accommodation must be made in accordance with applicable EVA/UNI AIR fare rule within same destination (city) and the fare/tax differences should be collected.

(c) For conditions other than (a) (b) above, changes will refer to applicable EVA/UNI AIR fare rule and charge the fare/tax difference.

B. For passengers holding EVA/UNI AIR tickets with confirmed bookings on EVA/UNI AIR international、cross-strait and Hong-Kong/Macao flights between 2020-05-01 and 

2020-05-31, who are not entitled to enter/transfer or required to isolate/quarantine based on each country's regulation for COVID-19 (related documents shall be attached).

C. For eligible passengers encountered flight cancelation, delay or schedule change with travel date on/before 2020-05-31 are also subject to this handling guideline regardless the ticket issuing date.

2. Applicable period

The application must be submitted on/before 2020-06-02. 

*Italy route: must be submitted on/before 2020-07-07.
