Qingdao
Qingdao is a seaside city and major seaport, a naval base and an industrial center on the west coast of the Yellow Sea. Qingdao is also known as the "Switzerland of the Orient" as it was once a German colony. The Jiaozhou Bay Bridge, the longest sea bridge in the world, links the urban area with Huangdao district. Near the East China Sea, travelers can visit Mount Lao which regarded as the cradle of Taoism. Besides this important element of the Taoist religion, visitors can enjoy the cliffs, waterfalls, and temples at the same location. Edged by mountains, villas, and buildings is the half-moon shaped Huiquan Bathing Beach. There are no reefs in the water which makes it the best place to go in the summertime.
