Unaccompanied Passenger Policy

• Unaccompanied Minors (UM, ages 5–11):EVA Air will not accept bookings for children traveling alone if the itinerary includes Southwest flights. For more information, please visit the Southwest Airlines website.
• Young Traveler (YP, ages 12–17):EVA Air will not accept bookings for youth traveling alone if the itinerary includes Southwest flights. For more information, please visit the Southwest Airlines website.

Seat Selection

• EVA Air segments:Complimentary or paid advance seat selection available depending on fare type.
• Southwest segments:
  • Through January 26, 2026, Southwest will maintain its signature open seating policy. Early check-in is recommended for preferred seating.
  • Starting January 27, 2026, assigned seating will be introduced, and passengers will receive seat numbers at check-in. For more information, please visit the Southwest Airlines website.
