Wuxi is known as the "Pearl of Taihu" and is situated in the Yangtze River delta. Located in southern Jiangsu province and near Suzhou, Wuxi is also an important regional central city in the Yangtze River delta. Wuxi has three traditional specialties. They include Wuxi fried spare ribs, a dish which has 100 years of history behind it, and oily gluten, made from bran. Another specialty, Huishan clay figurines, is inspired by Chinese folk art. There are many religious faiths practiced and many temples in the Wuxi area. If you want to go to Wuxi, you shouldn't miss Wuxi Zoo and the Taihu Lake Amusement Park which contains more than 1000 animals, and Wuxi Museum which is over 17 acres.
