EVA Ranks ninth in AirlineRatings’ World’s Safest Airlines for 2023 Analyses included safety, innovation, pilot training, COVID protocols

EVA Air ranks ninth among’s top-20 World’s Safest Airlines for 2023. This marks the airline’s 10th consecutive year to earn a place among the global ratings website’s “safest airlines in the world.” The website’s safety-rating analyses  considers serious incidents, audits from aviation’s governing bodies and lead associations, fleet age, pilot training and COVID protocols. “EVA has made ‘safety without compromise’ our priority from the day we were established,” said EVA President Clay Sun. “Even during strict COVID lockdowns, we upheld safety practices and met our high operating standards. This recognition is a credit to the work and commitment of our entire EVA team. It is also an inspiration for all of us to continue to do our best to provide our passengers with the safest and the most comfortable flying experiences possible.”

Now that Taiwan and most countries in Asia have loosed COVID restrictions, EVA is steadily resuming its global schedule and launching services to new gateways, including Milan, Munich and, starting on March 30, Clark International Airport in the Philippines.

Over more than 30 years of operating international passenger and airfreight flights, EVA has earned a reputation for excellence in its services and safety practices. It consistently gets high marks from and JACDEC and, through biennial audits, it has repeatedly secured IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) certifications.
