1. Purchase period: Excess baggage may be prepaid after issuance of the ticket, and up to 4 hours before the scheduled flight departure time. If you need to change the date after completing the pre-payment, you have to contact reservation centers.
2. Prepaid excess baggage is non-transferable, and is only applicable for use with the flight purchased.
3. Prepaid Excess Baggage is for one time use only.
   A. If it is not utilized after purchase, it can be refunded through your original purchasing channel with no service charges.
   B. Partial use is not allowed to refund.
4. Prepaid of excess baggage is not applicable to pets, oversized or overweight baggage, large sports equipment, etc. If you have already prepaid for excess baggage but the baggage failed to meet the requirements during check-in, you will be charged according to the standard excess baggage charges. Please refer to “Excess Baggage and Other Optional Fees” from EVA Air website.
5. This plan is limited to passengers who purchase EVA Air E-tickets (695), and only applicable to flights operated by EVA Air.
6. Online prepayment of excess baggage will receive an additional discount.
7. Upon completing the payment for excess baggage, a confirmation letter will be sent to the email account specified after the purchase.
8. Each passenger (excluding infants without a seat) is allowed to make one prepaid excess baggage purchase only per flight segment. To modify your transaction, you would need to cancel the original order and purchase again within purchase period.
9. May purchase prepaid excess baggage up to 5 pieces of excess baggage. The weight for each baggage depends on your booking class, Royal Laurel/Premium Laurel/Business Class: 32kg(70lbs) each, Premium Economy and Economy Class: 23kg(50lbs) each.
10. The total linear dimensions (L+W+H) of a single piece of baggage shall not exceed 158cm (62in).
11. All checked baggage items are subject to the Conditions of Carriage for Passenger and Baggage.
12. EVA Air reserves the right to revise the regulations pertaining to the excess baggage charging standard and prepaid excess baggage fees.
13. To protect the interests of credit card holders, the holder of the international credit card used for prepaying the excess baggage must be one of the accompanying passengers. If the passenger is unable to present the credit card used for the prepaid, he/she will not be able to use the prepaid discount, and will be subject to the standard excess baggage charges.
14. If your credit card transaction has been successfully authorized through Verified by Visa or MasterCard® SecureCode or American Express SafeKey® or JCB J/Secure, you will NOT be required to present the credit card upon check-in at the airport. In addition, the cardholder does NOT need to be one of the travel companions.(However, if you have only entered the 3 (or 4) digit card verification code on the back (or front) of the credit card, then you will still be required to present your credit card at the airport.)
15. Please note that some credit card issuing banks may charge an international transaction fee. Please check with your credit card issuing bank for further details.
16. Ancillary service receipt is issued for transportation, or services other than passenger air transportation, specific terms and conditions may apply.
    These terms and conditions may be provided separately or may be obtained from the issuing company or agent.
17. When the checked baggage exceeds your free allowance and the prepaid baggage, the excess baggage charge will be paid in regular fee.

When you have completed the online purchase, the information will be stored in our system as an electronic receipt. The system will then send an electronic receipt with the related details to your email later.

When you have completed the prepaid procedure, the system will send a confirmation letter with the relevant information to your email later. If you did not receive it, please call our reservation center, and we will re-send it to your email.

Sorry! If you need to change the date or itinerary without ticket reissue after completing the prepayment, you have to contact the reservation center. If the changes are not made before the specific time, you will not be eligible for the discounted prepaid excess baggage charges and will be required to pay the standard excess baggage charges at the airport.

Upon completion of the prepaid, it is not transferable to other passengers.

Yes! You may apply for a refund after completing the purchase and up till 365 days after the departure date.

To protect your interest, the refund will be made only to the credit card or bank account that you used for the purchase. Please be noted that the refund process takes approximately two months without service charge.

Online pre-purchase is safe since during the purchase process, all personal particulars provided by you will be encrypted before being transmitted online. It will also be stored in a secure database. Your particulars will only be used by EVA Air for maintaining a close relationship with our customers. We will not release your personal particulars to other organizations for marketing or other purposes. For relevant details, please refer to "EVA Air Website Security Statement".

Prepaid for excess baggage must be made before online check-in or mobile check-in. If you have completed online check-in or mobile check-in, please cancel your check-in and then proceed with the excess baggage prepaid.

Yes, as long as that person is traveling on the same flight with you. If you, as the credit card holder, will not be among the travel party, you must present your credit card and passport/ legally acceptable photo ID to EVA Air and sign an indemnity form. This can be done in one of two ways: 

• Visit any EVA Air office during business hours and at least 48 hours before the passenger's scheduled departure. You must bring your credit card, passport/ legally acceptable photo ID and sign an Indemnity of Payment form. 
• Visit the EVA Air counter at the airport at least one hour before scheduled departure. You must bring your credit card, passport/ legally acceptable photo ID and sign an Indemnity of Payment form.
