In-Flight Wi-Fi – Limited-Time Promotion Starting July 1, 2025

EVA Air offers in-flight Wi-Fi across all cabin classes on Boeing 787, 777-300ER, and Airbus A330-300 aircraft, with services provided by Panasonic Avionics Corporation.

As a special limited-time promotion, from July 1 to September 30, 2025, passengers can enjoy complimentary full-flight “Unlimited Web Browsing”.

Passengers may browse websites or use instant messaging apps to send text messages while onboard.

Note: “Unlimited Web Browsing” does not support video streaming, voice calls, VPN connections, or video conferencing.

After the promotional period, all business class passengers and Infinity MileageLands members will continue to enjoy complimentary in-flight Wi-Fi with access to either unlimited web browsing or unlimited text. For more information, please visit the EVA Air official website.

  • Effective October 1, 2025, this plan applies to all EVA Air and UNI Air international flights.
  • “Unlimited Web Browsing” does not support video streaming, voice calls, VPN connections, or video conferencing.
  • “Unlimited Text” supports messaging apps such as Line and WhatsApp (excluding photo/video transmission).
  • The Wi-Fi onboard is provided through satellite for data transmission. The actual connection speed may be affected by factors such as the number of users, the flight’s location over Polar Regions, and weather conditions, which could result in network interruptions. Additionally, the service may be temporarily unavailable due to system maintenance or upgrades.
  • If you use the complimentary Wi-Fi plan, there is no refund value nor compensation. EVA Air does not provide any quality assurance or any compensation or indemnification in cash or any other form for any dispute arising from the use or quality (unstable connection or disconnection during flight) of the Wi-Fi Service.
  • EVA Air has the legal right to make the final decision in the event of conflicting interpretations. EVA Air reserves the right to amend all relevant requirements or rules with regard to the inflight Wi-Fi service.

Applicable devices & Limitations

Any electronic device that can connect to a wireless network, including laptops, tablets, and smartphones, can use the inflight Wi-Fi.

This service is only available at altitudes above 10,000 feet. Due to the use of satellite transmission for inflight Wi-Fi, the network cannot be accessed in areas where satellite signals are not available, such as the polar regions.

This service does not support online gaming, video streaming (such as YouTube or Netflix), software updates, VOIP/video calls, cloud syncing, or large data transfers. To ensure the rights of other passengers, this service cannot be connected to websites that violate good manners and customs.

Optimize data using

To enjoy a smoother Wi-Fi connection experience, we recommend that you:

  • Enable low data/power-saving mode.
  • Avoid high-bandwidth network activities such as playing mobile games or transferring large files. Live streaming is not supported on inflight Wi-Fi.
  • Turn off automatic media downloads.
  • Turn off software/app updates, cloud backups, and background app refreshes.

Please note that the actual connection speed and experience of the inflight Wi-Fi may differ from the ground network. The following factors may affect it: the number of users, the device's running functions, satellite signals, weather conditions, and regulations for flying over different airspaces."

FAQ

Inflight Mobile SMS and Data Roaming Service

Mobile SMS and data roaming are also available on select 777-300ER aircraft, allowing you to connect to a partnered telecoms provider to send SMS text messages and enjoy special Internet roaming rates.

Your phone will automatically connect to the AeroMobile network after disabling Airplane Mode. You can start to use the service after receiving a welcome text message from AeroMobile.

This service is provided by AeroMobile on partner mobile operators only. Please check with your home mobile operator for AeroMobile service availability and rates.

  • To avoid incurring unexpected data-transmitting charges, please make sure that your data roaming setting is disabled.
  • You may start using the roaming service by disabling Airplane Mode after the flight is above 20,000 feet.
  • SMS and data roaming services will not be available above certain regions, including the Arctic, Antarctica, and the United States.
  • As a courtesy to other passengers, please ensure that your mobile is set to vibrate or silent mode. Voice calls are currently not allowed.
  • If you have any questions on the service or billing, please contact your home mobile operator directly.

Satellite Phone

You can make an Air-to-Ground call to your loved ones and friends by using our satellite phone service on all of the A330-300s, and selected 777-300ER.

In-seat 110V AC Outlet and USB Port

The Royal Laurel Class, Premium Laurel Class, and Premium Economy Class seats all provide AC outlets. On 787, 777-300ER, and A330-300, Economy Class also offer AC power outlets. However, the last row of each zone in Economy Class on 777-300ER do not have this service. Voltage is 110V, with max 100W output.

USB (Type A) outlets are available on 787, 777-300ER, and A330-300 for mobile devices.

Inflight Use of Power Banks Policy

Effective March 01, 2025, to ensure flight safety, the use and charging of power banks and spare lithium batteries will be prohibited throughout the flight.

Please note that power banks and spare lithium batteries are prohibited in checked baggage. They must be carried in your carry-on baggage and properly stored to prevent compression or damage.
