Famous for its steamed delicacies and warm-hearted service, Din Tai Fung was founded in 1958 in Taiwan. In 1993, Din Tai Fung was featured in The New York Times article “Top-Notch Tables” and named one of ten restaurants around the world that inspire a pilgrimage. Din Tai Fung’s Silvercord Branch in Hong Kong has also been awarded one Michelin star for five consecutive years since 2010. In 2013, Din Tai Fung was ranked No. 1 in the “101 Best Restaurants in Asia” list by US food website, The Daily Meal, and named the world's second best chain for travelers by CNN. In 2015, the UK magazine Monocle listed Din Tai Fung as one of the top 50 restaurants in the world. In 2022, Din Tai Fung ranked second in Asia, among the Top 100 Greatest Traditional Restaurants in the world by international travel guide TasteAtlas.
