Procedure for Assignment of Seats for Children under the age of 12 and Passengers with Disabilities or Reduced Mobility on flights to/from Italy

According to the Technical Regulation of Italian Civil Aviation Authority (Ente Nazionale per l'Aviazione Civile, ENAC), for passengers travelling on EVA Air/UNI Air-operated flights to/from Italy (including direct flights or connecting itineraries within 24 hours), EVA Air/UNI Air will strive to arrange at no additional charge adjacent seating (or where this is not possible, seating in the same row of seats or no more than one row away from the accompanying person), for children under the age of 12 travelling with their parents or at least one accompanying adult, as well as for passengers with disabilities or reduced mobility travelling with an accompanying person, provided they are booked in the same class of service.

  • To avoid limited seat availability prior to departure, we recommend that you select seats as early as possible after purchasing your ticket. Passengers holding Premium Economy Class Basic, Economy Class Basic, or Discount fare products, who are not eligible to select complimentary seat on the webpage during the booking process, please contact EVA Air Customer Service Centers after ticket issuance, and we will assist with arranging adjacent seating (or in the same row or no more than one row away) for children or passengers with disability/reduced mobility and their accompanying persons. Please ensure all travelling passengers are booked under the same reservation, or cross-referenced if under separate bookings.
  • Seat assignments will be arranged by EVA Air for passengers who have had the seat selection fee waived. In Economy Class, seats will be assigned within the Standard Seat zone. If adjacent seating cannot be arranged, we will make every effort to seat children under 12 or passengers with disability/reduced mobility (PRM) in the same row or no more than one row away from their accompanying adult or person.
  • If you want to select particular seats for you and your family, you may consider purchasing the function “seat selection with a fee” or selecting a different Fare Family Types that allows for a complimentary seat selection.
  • If it is not possible to arrange a proximity seat when you contact our reservations centers, we will make every effort to facilitate seat assignment at the time of check-in, at the boarding gate or before take-off. However, it is possible that there could be limited seats to arrange it when it is close to or on the day of travel. You may contact EVA Air Customer Service Centers to change your booking to another flight on which we can provide proximity seating or cancel your trip Change/refund fee will be waived.

Complaint procedure for flights to/from Italy

EVA Air is committed to to maintaining the highest level of safety, service, comfort and convenience to our customers. If you would like to make a complaint with regards to our IT flights, please contant our relevant department at: miltt@evaair.com.

For a quicker and smoother service, it is advisable to provide the booking reference number, the electronic ticket number, the PIR (Property Irregularity Report) in case of baggage disruptions and any other relevant information.
