Spare lithium batteries (including power banks) are high energy-density batteries commonly used in mobile phones, laptop computers, power banks, and other electronic devices. Improper use or carriage—such as overcharging, short-circuiting, exposure to impact or high temperatures, or continued use of swollen batteries—may cause thermal runaway, leading to fire or explosion. To ensure a safe journey, passengers are advised to use only properly certified products.

For flight safety, spare lithium batteries (including power banks and true wireless Bluetooth earbuds with charging cases) must not be placed in checked baggage. They must be carried in carry-on baggage and kept with you or stowed under the seat in front of you. Do not place them in overhead compartments. If a lithium battery becomes overheated, emits smoke, or falls into a seat gap, please notify the cabin crew immediately.

To ensure flight safety, the use and charging of spare lithium batteries are prohibited throughout the flight. Passengers are advised to fully charge personal electronic devices before boarding.
