Interline and Multi-Destination Booking Description
The Interline and Multi-Destination Online Booking is the function for satisfying the vary requirements from traveling people. You can reserve not only a single or return EVA flight but also a more complex itinerary online. Here below are three itineraries applied for such a booking function:
  1. Open Jaw
    Open Jaw itinerary means there are breaks in your journey, or if your return city is different from your first departure city. For example, departure flight is from TPE to LAX and return flight is from SFO to TPE or departure flight is from TPE to LAX and return flight is from LAX to KHH. You can reserve such an itinerary through the system as below:

  2. Stopover
    Stopover means you would like to stay in one or more destinations over 24 hours within your journey or travel to more than one destination. For example, you can reserve the flight from San Francisco to Taipei, stay in Taipei for a few days, then continue your journey to Bangkok. You can reserve such an itinerary through the system as below:

  3. Interline Booking
    Interline booking means there is other carrier service in your itinerary. For example, if you fly from Taipei to Dallas, the segment from Taipei to Los Angeles is operated by EVA Air, the segment from Los Angeles to Dallas is operated by American Airline. Such an itinerary combine with EVA AIR and other airlines will be defined as ‘Interline Booking’. You can reserve such an itinerary through the system as below:


  4. Appendix:
    1. Online Seat Selection
      The Online Seat Selection function only accepts passengers to select the seat of flight operating by EVA. Passengers have to phone the other airlines' local offices for the seat selection after completing the booking if he/she would like to select the seat of flights operating by other carriers. 
    2. E-Ticket
      The E-ticket can be issued if all flights operated by EVA AIR and EVA AIR offers interline e-ticketing with following airlines -Air Canada, Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Continental Airlines, Northwest Airlines, Delta Airlines,  Air China, Air Macau, China Eastern Airlines, Shanghai Airlines, Xiamen Airlines, Thai Airways, and Bangkok Airways.
    3. Paper Ticket.
      The paper ticket will be issued if itinerary belongs to interline bookings by other carriers that are not mentioned above.  According to your departure location, there are two different ways for the paper ticket delivery: For travel originating from Taiwan, Vienna or Amsterdam, you should pick up your tickets at the ticketing counter of your first departure airport (Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, KHH, AMS, VIE) before check-in. For travel originating from N. America, EVA will deliver the ticket to the billing address of your credit card by express, meanwhile the delivery fee USD 14.95 will be charged.
