EVA Air reserves the right to revise the regulations pertaining to the excess baggage charging standard and prepaid excess baggage fees.
To protect the interests of credit card holders, the holder of the international credit card used for prepaying the excess baggage must be one of the accompanying passengers. If the passenger is unable to present the credit card used for the prepaid, he/she will not be able to use the prepaid discount, and will be subject to the standard excess baggage charges.

When you have completed the online purchase, the information will be stored in our system as an electronic receipt. The system will then send an electronic receipt with the related details to your email later.
When you have completed the prepaid procedure, the system will send a confirmation letter with the relevant information to your email later. If you did not receive it, please call our reservation centers, and we will re-send it to your email.
Sorry! If you need to change the date or itinerary without ticket reissue after completing the pre-payment, you have to contact reservation centers. If the changes are not made before the specific time, you will not be eligible for the discounted pre-paid excess baggage charges and will be required to pay the standard excess baggage charges at the airport.

Yes! You may apply for a refund after completing the purchase and up till 365 days after the departure date.
To protect your interest, the refund will be made only to the credit card or bank account that you used for the purchase. Please be noted that the refund process takes approximately two months without service charge.
Online pre-purchase is safe since during the purchase process, all personal particulars provided by you will be encrypted before being transmitted online. It will also be stored in a secure database. Yes, as long as that person is traveling on the same flight with you. If you, as the credit card holder, will not be among the travel party, you must present your credit card and passport/ legally acceptable photo ID to EVA Air and sign an indemnity form. This can be done in one of two ways:
Visit any EVA Air office during business hours and at least 48 hours before the passenger's scheduled departure. You must bring your credit card, passport/ legally acceptable photo ID and sign an Indemnity of Payment form.
Visit the EVA Air counter at the airport at least one hour before scheduled departure. You must bring your credit card, passport/ legally acceptable photo ID and sign an Indemnity of Payment form.
If your credit card transaction has been successfully authorized through Verified by Visa or MasterCard® SecureCode or American Express SafeKey® or JCB J/Secure, you will NOT be required to present the credit card upon check-in at the airport. In addition, the cardholder does NOT need to be one of the travel companions.(However, if you have only entered the 3- (or 4-) digit card verification code on the back (or front) of the credit card, then you will still be required to present your credit card at the airport.)
If the online prepaid excess baggage is not utilized, you may apply for a refund online. But no refund is allowed for partial usage (example: purchased 10 kg but used 5 kg only; purchased 3 pieces but used 2 pieces only ).
Excess baggage charges you pre-purchased is available on EVA operated flight only. The baggage allowance and restrictions of the shuttle bus or train may different with EVA Airways, please follow it accordingly.
