The validity for Star Alliance Silver/Gold status you acquire from HSBC Star Alliance Credit Card will be 12 months.

You will gain Star Alliance Silver status and this status will be valid for 12 months, unless you earn another status through your HSBC Star Alliance Credit Card or a higher status through direct flight activity with EVA Air.

• If your Infinity MileageLands Silver status remaining validity is longer than or equal to 1 year, EVA Air will maintain your current Infinity MileageLands Silver status and validity regardless of status acquired from your HSBC Star Alliance Credit Card.
• If your Infinity MileageLands Silver status remaining validity is less than 1 year, EVA Air will end your current status, and provide you with Star Alliance Silver status with a new validity for 12 months.

You will gain Star Alliance Gold status and this status will be valid for 12 months, unless you earn another status through your HSBC Star Alliance Credit Card or a higher status through direct flight activity with EVA Air.

EVA Air will maintain your current Infinity MileageLands Gold status and validity regardless of status acquired from your HSBC Star Alliance Credit Card.

• If your Infinity MileageLands Gold status remaining validity is longer than or equal to 1 year, EVA Air will maintain your current Infinity MileageLands Gold status and validity regardless of status acquired from your HSBC Star Alliance Credit Card.
• If your Infinity MileageLands Gold status remaining validity is less than 1 year, EVA Air will end your current status, and provide you with Star Alliance Gold status with a new validity for 12 months.

In the case that you couldn’t reach the spending requirement, the status you currently have will be revoked by EVA Air and your new status and validity will be provided according to Infinity MileageLands membership tier rules.
