Star Alliance and Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport Co. Ltd. (CAN) have agreed on space allocation to facilitate the establishment of a Star Alliance branded lounge at the airport. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to this effect was signed by Jeffrey Goh, CEO Star Alliance and Qiu Jiachen, Chairman of the Board, Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport.
EVA Air will launch flights to three more destinations in Japan in 2019, complementing the eight gateways it is serving now. Subject to government approvals, EVA will initiate flights from Taoyuan International Airport near Taipei, Taiwan to Nagoya, Aomori and Matsuyama, starting in the second quarter and continuing through the third. Star Alliance members EVA Air and Air New Zealand initiated a code-share agreement on 02 November, 2018, expanding service networks in Northeast Asia and Oceania. Passengers will have codeshare options from Taipei to major destinations in Japan or Seoul in South Korea operated by EVA Air, as well as codeshare options operated by Air New Zealand from Taipei to Auckland, and onto major cities in New Zealand, as well as Brisbane to both Auckland and Christchurch. Starting from the second half of December, passengers can travel on these codeshare services.
Star Alliance members EVA Air and Copa Airlines began a code-sharing agreement on 04 November, 2018, making travel to/from Asia and Panama more convenient and extending services for both airlines’ passengers. Under the code-share, Copa passengers can take EVA-operated flights to Taipei from Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago and New York. Inbound from Asia, EVA passengers can connect through these same cities to fly Copa to Panama City. TAIPEI, TAIWAN (October 22, 2018) --EVA Air showcased its first Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner in a grand debut event at Evergreen Aviation Technologies Corp.’s Hangar No. 3. EVA Chairman Steve Lin officially hosted the event and welcomed Taiwan’s aviation authorities, travel agencies, air cargo freight forwarders, EVA social media fans and employees. Approximately 400 guests celebrated with EVA as it unveiled its first 787-9 Dreamliner.
