Refund
Refund surcharge may be applied when refunding your ticket. However, the refundable taxes/fees/charges imposed by governments or airport authorities for unused sector(s) will be fully refunded without refund penalty. This policy applies to non-refundable tickets as well.
When you book and ticket a reservation through the EVA AIR web site or EVA reservation/ ticketing offices for EVA flights to/from USA for one week (168 hours) or more prior to a flight’s departure date, EVA allows you to cancel the ticketed reservation without penalty and receive a full refund provided that you cancel the reservation within 24 hours of purchase and submit the refund within 24 hours of purchase.
- If the ticket was purchased from a travel agent, please contact your travel agent to arrange refund;
- If the ticket was purchased via the EVA AIR website, please go to "Plan & Book/Book Online" page and select "Refund Application/Enquiry" to submit your refund request; or please contact the original office to arrange refund.
For tickets purchased at EVA AIR web site or EVA reservation/ticketing office and ticket refunds are due, we will process and provide the refund back to you within twenty (20) days after receiving a complete refund request for cash and check payments or within seven (7) days when the payment is by credit cards including any fees for optional services that you were unable to use due to an over sales situation or flight cancellation. Credit card refunds will be sent to the credit card company and may or may not reflect immediately on your statement depending on the billing cycle of the credit card company.
For tickets originating from Mainland China purchased through EVA AIR web site or EVA reservation/ticketing offices, the refunds will be processed and credit back to the original form of payment within 7 days of the request. The actual timing of the refund amount posted to your account depends on the process of your financial institution.
For refundable ticket, the residual refund value will be the difference between the fare paid and the applicable fare of the flown segment, less refund surcharge. Fare for the travel undertaken will be assessed using the fare applicable at the time of commencement of transportation.
The refundable taxes/fees/charges imposed by governments or airport authorities for unused sector(s) will be fully refunded without refund penalty, including non-refundable tickets as well.
Discount Fare
A child who has not reached his/her second birthday and is not occupying a seat shall purchase an infant fare ticket.
A child who has not reached his/her second birthday and is occupying a seat shall purchase a child fare ticket.
A child must be accompanied by an adult person or a family member over the age of 16 when traveling by air.
- A child who has reached their second birthday but not their 12th birthday as of the date of commencement of travel is eligible for a child fare ticket.
- A child must be accompanied by an adult or a family member over age of 16 when traveling by air.
According to CAA regulations, a child who is over two years old shall be equipped with a seat.
Therefore, if a child who will reaches his/her second birthday after commencement of travel, paying a child fare for occupying a seat shall be applied to the onward and/or return flights for the child.
No-Show fee
Passengers who not cancelling their reservations nor showing up for their flights will be charged for a no-show fee upon ticket reissue or refund.
- The No-Show fee apply to flights operated by EVA/UNI AIR with ticket number starting with 695/525. Charter flight is excluded.
- Fees may vary among Fare Families, please refer to the fare rules and conditions of your ticket or contact EVA Air Ticketing offices.
Three options for paying the No-Show fee:
- On-line payment through EVA Web site / EVA Mobile App / Mobile Web (m.evaair.com) and access to “Manage Your Trip”.
- You may pay the No-show fee through EVA website/EVA Mobile Web or EVA Mobile APP, by logging into Manage your trip\No- show charge and follow the steps. If there’s no more active segment in the booking record, please contact the travel agent you purchased from or the nearest EVA ticketing office for paying no-show fee.
- Contact EVA Ticketing Offices.
- Contact your Travel Agents to pay the No-Show fee.
Others
- If your ticket was purchased from a travel agent, please contact your travel agent to change your booking.
- If your ticket was purchased from EVA AIR reservation and ticketing offices, please contact EVA reservation and ticket office to change your booking.
- Please note that penalty and fare/tax difference might be required for re-booking, according to the fare rule of the ticket you purchased.
- If your ticket was purchased from EVA AIR web site or mobile app, please use the function of Change Date/Flights on EVA web site to change your booking.
According to International Air Transport Association (IATA) regulations, the name on the ticket cannot be changed and therefore can't be used by anyone else.
- If your ticket was purchased or modified using the EVA Air website, please go to the "Manage/View My Booking" page and select "Invoice Application".
- If your ticket was purchased from EVA AIR reservation and ticketing office, please contact the original issuing office for a receipt.
- If your ticket was purchased from a travel agent, please contact your travel agent for a receipt.
Yes, you can. With the exception of Discount Fare Family, all other Fare Families can be combined under one itinerary. However, if your itinerary consists of more than one Fare Family, the highest fee apply to the entire itinerary for cancellation or no-show. And the highest change fee apply to the changed segments. Other conditions, such as seat selection, free-checked baggage allowance, miles accrual, and eligibility for upgrades will depend on the Fare Family selected for the corresponding segment.
If you have purchased your ticket online, the fare rules will be available to you in the purchase process. Additionally the system will send the complete fare rules and conditions, along with your e-ticket and receipt to your email once you have completed the transaction. If you have purchased your ticket through a travel agency, please consult them directly.
1. Eligibility
Passengers holding EVA(695)/UNI(525) Air tickets with confirmed booking on/after 01JAN2021 that being affected by the cancellation or schedule change (not include aircraft change) of EVA/UNI Air International, cross-strait and Hong Kong/Macau flights.
2. Changes
- Within ticket validity, passengers may change the flight/date within 14 days, prior or later, of the disrupted flight date without reissue fee and additional charge of the fare/tax/booking service charge difference for one transaction provided the routing (city) and booking class remains the same.
For itineraries with connecting interline segments, rebook to other flight/date with the applicable RBD/interline carrier or change of transfer points in accordance with the fare rule is permitted provided the destination (city) remains the same. - Within ticket validity, passengers may change to a flight/date out of the scope of 1) above or change routing (city) or booking class, the ticket will be recalculated and reissued without the reissue fee for one transaction, however the difference of the fare/tax/booking service charge should be paid by the passenger.
- EVA/UNI Air operated flights changed to codeshare flights or OAL flight is not permitted.
- Tickets purchased from travel agencies should refer to the original issuing travel agent.
3. Refunds
- Refunds of the ticket and/or related ancillary services may be made in accordance with provisions of involuntary refund that the refund service charge will not be imposed.Regarding Booking Service Charge (BSC), it is non-refundable for partial-used ticket. The unused BSC can only be refunded when the ticket is total-unused or consists of BSC imposed on a flight-coupon base.
- Tickets purchased from travel agencies should refer to the original issuing travel agent.
- Tickets purchased from EVA worldwide offices or EVA website, please contact EVA reservation and ticketing offices.
4. For tickets being changed with reissue fee waived but then voluntarily request for a change or refund afterwards, the service charge will not be waived.
5. If the ticket being changed is the result of an exchanged/reissue or revalidated transaction, the eligibility of waiver is determined based on the current ticket to be changed/refunded.
6. Award ticket and upgrade with mileages
For refunds, refund service charge will not be imposed.
For rebooking, reissue fee as well as the expired miles are exempt from collection for one transaction provided the revised itinerary meets the same criteria as the affected ticket.

7. Group passengers shall contact the original issuing travel agency for changes/ refunds.
8. Free and Reduced fare tickets are not included in this handling guideline, e.g. ID/AD/DM...etc.
9. Passengers who have been previously charged is not allowed to reimburse based on this bulletin.

Passengers holding BR (695) /B7(525) tickets with confirmed Premium Economy booking that being affected by aircraft change.
2. Changes
(1) Within ticket validity, passengers may choose any of the options below without reissue fee for ONE transaction, and the ticket should be reissued accordingly:
A. Passengers may accept the re-accommodated economy booking class code of the same flight booked and refund the fare/tax difference reassessed based on the historical date; or
B. Passengers may choose to rebook to the designated economy booking class code of the same route on other dates in accordance with the fare rule and pay/refund the fare/tax difference reassessed based on the historical date; or
C. Passengers may choose to rebook to the same route, same premium economy booking class code as original ticket on other dates and pay/refund the fare/tax difference reassessed based on the historical date.
D. Passengers may choose to rebook to business class of the same route on other dates in accordance with the fare rule and pay the fare/tax difference reassessed based on the historical date.
(2) For tickets purchased from travel agents, please contact the original issuing agents for rebooking and ticket change.
(3) If the flights revert to aircrafts with premium economy class service afterwards, passengers who have reissued tickets in compliance with this bulletin and request to change back to premium economy class with same flight/date may claim a refund or pay the fare/tax differences reassessed based on the historical fare with the original booking class code, and are entitled to waive change fee for one transaction.
3. Refunds

5. Award ticket and upgrade with mileages
(1) Award tickets
A. The service fee of USD$50 can be waived once. Any mileage difference will be collected or returned if the new itinerary requires more or less miles than the original one. Expired miles are exempt from collection.
B. If an award ticket contains multiple segments in different route, zone or booking class, mileage deduction will be redeemed according to the higher cost one.
C. If the flights revert to aircrafts with premium economy class service afterwards, passengers who request to change back to premium economy class, the mileage differences will be collected if the reissue ticket requires more miles than the original one. Expired mileage evaluation upon reissue can be exempt.
The service fee of USD$50 for award ticket reissuance can be waived once for Green Card members. Diamond Card/Gold Card/Silver Card members are exempt from service fee as current policy.
(2) Upgrade awards
Rebook the original ticket class, or change itinerary with new required mileage. Any mileage differences will be collected (returned).
(3) Please contact EVA Air reservation and ticketing offices for rebooking and ticket change.
(4) For the required mileage for Economy class to upgrade to Royal Laurel/Premium Laurel/Business Class, please refer to EVA website.
6. Group passengers shall contact the original issuing travel agency for changes/ refunds.
7. Free and Reduced fare tickets are not included in this handling guideline, e.g. ID/AD/DM...etc.
Ticketing related charges & fees
To obtain the booking service provided by Global Distribution System (GDS), the users have to pay BSC to EVA/UNI AIR for the electronice documents.
Yes, BSC applies to all EVA AIR sales channels, including any travel agency, website, Mobile Web/APP and local ticketing offices.
- Regardless of the place of issue, BSC should be imposed to EVA AIR(695)/UNI AIR(525) international flight ticket with journey originating worldwide except Hong Kong.
- Charges:
(1) For EVA AIR(695)/UNI AIR(525) electronic document issued on/before Jul 31,2021, EVA/UNI Air charges USD 5 per each BR/B7 international flight sector, including code-shared sector; - (2) for EVA AIR(695)/UNI AIR(525) international flight ticket issued or changed on/after Aug 1,2021, BSC will be imposed up to USD20 per ticket base.
- For any detail or inquiry, please refer to the latest guideline of BSC or contact EVA AIR or reservation/ticketing offices.
For tickets issued by travel agents, any subsequent changes shall refer to the original issuing agent.
Effective from 01FEB2021, for totally unused EVA AIR/UNI AIR international tickets issued by travel agents that request to change at airports, ticketing offices or call centers, an USD50.00 or equivalent value of Ticketing Service Fee for each ticket will be charged in addition to the fare/tax difference and the related change fees. No further discount to the Ticketing Service Fee and it’s non-refundable.
It’s highly recommended to make sure your ticket is consistent with the booking before traveling and not try to take a flight without a confirmed booking to avoid such an additional charge.
Effective from 07APR2021, for EVA/UNI Air tickets that meet that regulation of EVA/UNI Air name change policy, the ticket may be rectified for one time only and will be charged an USD50.00 or equivalent value in local currencies Name Change Fee, no child/infant discounts and it is non-refundable.
For rectification of names on the ticket, please contact the nearest EVA/UNI Air ticketing offices. If your ticket was purchased from travel agencies, please contact the original issuing agent accordingly.
