How to Redeem?

Infinity MileageLands members can redeem their mileage for Star Alliance Partners award tickets and fly to more than one thousand places around the world. Required mileage depends on the area, not the carrier. If the award ticket includes any Star Alliance flights, please refer to the following instructions. If all flights are operated by EVA Air, please refer to EVA Air’s award ticket redeem table. (UNI Air is not eligible for Star Alliance Partners Award Tickets.).

Scandinavian Airlines (SK) exits the Star Alliance on September 1, 2024, and the partnership between EVA Air and SK regarding the frequent flyer program also terminates on September 1, 2024. Redemption of Star Alliance Partners Award Tickets for Scandinavian Airlines (SK) is applicable until August 31, 2024. Please be noted that the issued tickets should be used according to the flight details and dates within ticket validity.All times referred to above are Central European Summer Time.

Application & Ticketing

  • All award reservations can be made through the EVA Air website or any EVA Air Reservation Office. (Star Alliance Award Ticket with stopover and Star Alliance World Travel Award Ticket service can be provided by contacting EVA local reservation and ticketing offices only.) While making a reservation, members should hold valid and sufficient miles under the same Infinity MileageLands membership account. The open window for award bookings is subject to each airline's policy.
  • All reservations must be confirmed before ticketing. Airport standby is not permitted.
  • When the reservation is confirmed, the member or authorized designee with valid and sufficient miles earned by the same member and under the same membership account can go to the EVA Air website or any EVA Air ticketing counter during office hours to issue an Star Alliance award ticket (except at airports). Ticketing time limit set by Star Alliance member carriers applies. Un-ticketed reservation in time may result in booking cancellation.

Ticket Rules

  1. Ticket validity: One year after the ticket is issued. No extensions are permitted.
  2. A maximum of six sectors are allowed for each round-trip award ticket.
  3. A one-way award ticket can be issued. The required mileage is half of the round trip award ticket.
  4. Stopovers are not allowed for a one-way ticket. A maximum of three sectors are allowed for each one-way award ticket.

    1. Two stopovers are allowed for a round-trip award ticket, including one outbound and one inbound.
      The turnaround point and stopovers cannot be in the same country as the origin or destination ( Regional Country Reference Table).
      Additionally, the transfer point cannot be the same city as the origin, destination or turnaround point. (Tickets issued/reissued date on/after xAUG2025
      Different airports within the same city should be treated as same city.
      Taoyuan International Airport(TPE) and Taipei Songshan Airport(TSA) are considered as same city.
      • Applicable Itineraries:
        Istanbul – Munich (transfer point) –Frankfurt (turnaround point) – Munich (transfer point) – Istanbul.
      • Non-Applicable Itineraries: (transfer point is the same city as origin)
        Seattle– Vancouver (Stopover) –Seattle (transfer point) – Taipei (turnaround point)–Seattle
    2. One open-jaw segment is allowed for the whole itinerary; however, the open jaw must be at the origin or turnaround point, and both must be within the same Origin/Destination Zone.
      Ex: Taipei-Los Angles, San Francisco-Taipei.
    3. Tickets issued/reissued date before X JUL 2025 will be subject to the rule: For an award ticket containing more than one zone, the zone with the higher mileage requirement will be applied.
      Tickets issued/reissued date on/after xAUG2025 will be subject to the rule :The point that requires the greatest mileage from the origin is the turnaround point.
      • Applicable Itineraries:
        Bangkok–Taipei–Tokyo, Tokyo–Taipei–Bangkok
        Reason: Tokyo is considered the turnaround point because it requires the most mileage to redeem an award from Bangkok than Taipei.
    4. If an award itinerary includes different class of services, the mileage will be deducted based on the highest class of service for the entire trip.

    7. In case of double-booking on same destination (airline, route, and boarding date) for award and normal tickets, the airline flown with has the discretion to cancel the reservation.
    8. The issued award ticket cannot be transferred.

    Booking service /Change/Refund/No Show Charges:

    1. Booking service :
      Regardless of the place of issue, award tickets involving EVA Air flights with journey originating worldwide except Hong Kong will incur booking service charge (YR tax code) USD25 per ticket, and this charge is non-refundable.
    2. Change:
      • For a partially used award ticket, changes to the travel date or flight number of the remaining flights are permitted but are strictly limited to flights on the same route and operated by the same carrier.
      • The itinerary of a whole new award ticket can be changed. A service fee of USD50 will be applied, and the reissued ticket validity will remain the same.
        Any mileage differences will be reimbursed to a member's account if the reissued award ticket requires fewer miles than the original itinerary. Additional miles may be collected if the award ticket is requested for reissue. If the miles used for the original award ticket had expired when the ticket was reissued, then that same number of miles equal to those that have expired will be collected.
        The service fee will be waived for an award ticket of a member in the Diamond, Gold or Silver tier at the time of application.。
    3. Refund:
      • No refund service fee for award tickets online refund.
        Online refund function is applicable only to online transactions from EVA Air official website, transactions paid by credit card or certain third party payments from reservation and ticketing center.
      • To refund an award ticket via other channels, a refund service fee of US$50.00 will apply. The service fee will be waived for an award ticket of a member with Diamond, Gold or Silver tier at the time of application.
        For entirely unused award ticket, EVA Air will refund applicable taxes, surcharges and miles upon request. Miles will be credited back to the member’s account if they are still valid on the refund date.
        For partially used award ticket, EVA Air will refund applicable taxes, surcharges and miles for unused flight segments upon request. Miles, after deducting the amount used according to one way award ticket requirement, will be credited back to the member’s account if they are still valid on the refund date.
    4. No Show:
      Bookings for any flight operated by EVA Air (BR), the No Show Fee will be applicable when the award ticket holders fail to use the confirmed reservation without prior notice before departure, then request to change or cancel the award flight.

      International short haul routes(excluding Hong Kong & Macau) :USD100
      International short haul routes(Hong Kong & Macau): USD40

    Others

    1. Singapore Airlines (SQ) Suites Class cabin, and Swiss International Air (LX) Lines First Class cabins cannot be used for this offer.
    2. Star Alliance airlines without first class operation: JP, A3, AC, NZ, OS, AV, SN, CM, OU, ET, LO, TP, TK, SA, MS, UA, OZ.
    3. Award tickets must be booked under the Operating Airline Code.

    4. Blackout periods may apply and will be determined by individual Star Alliance carriers.
    5. Before boarding, be sure to check with the flight airline or the EVA Air Reservation Center, as partner airline flights may be canceled or changed without prior notification.
    6. Award seats on Star Alliance member airlines are subject to capacity control by the operating carrier.
    7. The redemption of a child ticket is the same as the adult’s. An unaccompanied child under 12 years cannot travel alone.
    8. Purchase an infant ticket for infants (10% normal adult fare)
    9. International flights Award Tickets shall be subject to governmental approval. Also, the use of Award Tickets shall comply all the general carriage conditions, tariffs and charges, ticket conditions, and every policy of the operating airline, together with every applicable International Treaty and by all the terms and conditions of the Infinity MileageLands program.
