- Two stopovers are allowed for a round trip award ticket, one in outbound and one in inbound. The turnaround point and stopovers cannot be the same with the origin or destination’s nation. Transit in Taiwan is not permitted for travel starting from Taiwan area.

- Use of a different gateway in the same area is permitted at the origination point or turnaround point, or at both origination and turnaround points. Besides, departure and arrival points must be in the same area but, in terms of Asia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Mainland China, Northeast Asia, and Southeast Asia, are considered to be in different areas. The outward point of arrival and the inward point of departure must also be in the same area. A trip starting from Taiwan to a turnaround point must return to Taiwan. Using different gateways for departure and return within the same area is at the passenger’s expense.

- For travel to Taipei or beyond, the mileage deduction is based on standard long-haul routes. When different aircraft types are used for short-haul flights, the class of cabin service cannot be higher than the service on the long-haul portion of the trip.
- (1) For an award ticket containing three segments, or above with a different route, zone, or booking class: mileage deduction will be redeemed according to the higher cost one. Example: Los Angeles - (Business Class) - Taipei - (Economy Class) - Singapore/Kuala Lumpur - (Economy Class) - Taipei - (Economy) - San Francisco
(2) For an award ticket containing only two segments, each of the segments requires half the miles of redemption criteria. Example: Taipei - (Economy Class) - Los Angeles - (Business Class) - Taipei
- Award tickets can combine travel on a UNI Air international route with EVA Air flights.
- A one-way award ticket cannot include a stopover.
- Please notify any of our local ticket offices in advance and allow yourself some extra time as the system requires 5 working days to process your application.
- The award ticket holder is responsible for all taxes and surcharges. (Payable by credit card or cash only)
- The no-show fee will be applicable when the award ticket holders fail to use the confirmed reservation without prior notice before departure, then request to change or cancel the award flight. For long haul routes (America/Europe/Oceania) you will be charged USD100. Short-haul routes (Asia/Hong Kong and Macau) will be charged USD50.
- The chargeable seat selection rules of award tickets apply with the rules of Standard fare tickets in all cabin. Members can select Standard seats in Economy Class and all seats in Premium Economy Class and Royal Laurel/Premium Laurel/Business Class for free. Diamond and Gold Card members who hold an award ticket can select seats from all zones for free.
- EVA Air will not provide free hotel accommodation, day rest service, or shuttle bus service (NYC, AMS) to an award ticket holder.
- Award tickets cannot be used with the EVASION programme or UNI Holidays programme.
- An award ticket holder cannot obtain a seat/class upgrade by paying the fare difference.
- Diamond, Gold, and Silver Cardholders using award tickets can enjoy all the benefits that accompany each Infinity MileageLands membership level.
- EVA Air and Star Alliance partner airlines reserve the right to limit or adjust the number of award seats, subject to the status of booking on each flight. The number of award seats may be unavailable on some flights or at some periods, even if seats are available for paid tickets.
- International flights award tickets shall be subject to the standards of each government. Also, the use of award tickets shall comply with all the general carriage conditions, tariffs and charges, ticket conditions, and every policy of the operating airline, together with every applicable International Treaty and by all the terms and conditions of the Infinity MileageLands programme.
- An award ticket can be changed as follows: the No-Show Fee will be applicable when the award ticket holders fail to use the confirmed reservation without prior notice before departure, then request to change or cancel the award flight (note 5).

Note 1
A service fee of US$50.00 will be applied to any change. Any mileage differences will be returned to your account if the reissued award ticket requires fewer miles than the original itinerary. Additional miles may be collected if the award ticket is requested for reissue. If the miles used for the original award ticket had expired when the ticket is reissued, then the number of miles equal to those that have expired will be collected. The validity of the reissued ticket is the same as the validity of the original issued ticket.
The service fee will be waived for an award ticket of a member with Diamond, Gold, or Silver tier at the time of application.
Note 2
Upon request, EVA Air can refund taxes and surcharges on an unused award ticket and converted back into miles if still valid. A service fee of US$50.00 will be applied.

EVA Air will refund valid unused flights (including applicable taxes and surcharges) and unused awards mileage upon request. Unused award mileage will only be refunded after deducting used mileage according to the one-way award ticket requirement if they are not expired on the day of refund. Please contact a EVA local ticketing counter to apply a refund for EVA Air/UNI Air award tickets. The online ticket refund system is unable to process.
