Gentle Reminders:

• To accumulate mileage, please always make reservations in your name exactly as it appears on your membership card and give your card number to our reservation agent when making a reservation.
• Or present your membership card at the airport counter upon check-in to ensure that the mileage data is properly credited to your account.
• Members who include a valid email address in their mfkdember information will receive monthly Electronic Mileage Statements.

---For the card tier earned by reaching flight requirement

• Flight sectors of Star Alliance member airlines cannot be credited toward membership upgrades and renewals.
• After upgrading to Silver/Gold Card, any remaining mileage will be counted toward the mileage needed for the next higher status for one year. If a member upgrades their card tier based on qualifying sectors, the remaining sectors cannot be counted toward the sectors needed for the next higher status.
• The new card will be effective from the next month after the travel date, and remains valid for 2 years. Status miles (excluding sectors) accumulated between the date after reaching a card tier upgrade and the start of the new card, will be retained for 2 years and counted as the remainder from the first time extending the same card tier.
• The mileage/sectors accumulated during the previous membership period will be deducted upon renewal. This means the mileage/sectors counted toward renewal will be accumulated from the beginning.

• The Star Alliance Silver/Gold status you acquire from HSBC Star Alliance Credit Card (thereinafter “Star Alliance Silver/Gold”) will be effective in the month when EVA Air receives your status notification from Star Alliance, remaining valid for 12 months, and EVA Air’s Infinity MileageLands status you may have remains valid for 2 years, both of the two kinds of status enjoy the same benefits
• If you currently have Infinity MileageLands status, EVA Air will do status comparing and choose the one with higher status or longer validity (in the event of same status) for you
• However, please be aware that after status comparing, you may either maintain your original Infinity MileageLands status or have a new status, and chances are that the status & validity you currently have will be ended, with a new status & validity be calculated(*)
• If you currently have Star Alliance Silver/Gold status you acquire from HSBC Star Alliance Credit Card, when EVA Air receives your status notification from Star Alliance, the status & validity you currently have will be ended, with a new status & validity be calculated(**)

Note:

1. For example, if you currently have Infinity MileageLands Silver status, while you also reach HSBC Star Alliance Credit Card spending requirement to acquire Star Alliance Silver status and EVA Air receives your status notification from Star Alliance in 2022/12, if your Infinity MileageLands Silver status remaining validity is longer than/equal to 1 year, we will maintain your Infinity MileageLands Silver status & validity; if your Infinity MileageLands Silver status remaining validity is less than 1 year, we will end your Infinity MileageLands Silver status, and provide you with Star Alliance Silver status, which will be valid for 12 months from 2022/12 to 2023/12 (the last month is served as the time buffer)
2. For example, if you currently have Star Alliance Silver status valid from 2022/12 to 2023/12, when you reach HSBC Star Alliance Credit Card spending requirement to acquire Star Alliance Gold status and EVA Air receives your status notification from Star Alliance in 2023/03, we will end your Star Alliance Silver status, and provide you with Star Alliance Gold status valid from 2023/03 to 2024/03
