EVA Air to Adjust International Baggage Fees Passengers Can Save 10% with Advance Payment

Sep 3, 2026

In response to rising aviation fuel prices and increasing operating costs resulting from global economic conditions and geopolitical developments, EVA Air will adjust its international baggage-related fees and acceptance standards for travel on or after September 29, 2026. The adjustments apply to excess baggage, overweight and oversized baggage, pet transportation, sporting equipment, and other special items.

To offer greater convenience and savings, passengers who prepay excess baggage fees at least four hours before their scheduled departure time will receive a 10% discount. Advance payment also helps reduce processing and waiting times at the airport. Passengers are encouraged to review their applicable baggage allowance and related regulations on EVA Air's official website before departure, complete any necessary arrangements in advance, and take advantage of the prepayment discount for added flexibility and convenience when planning their journeys.
