• Royal Laurel/Premium Laurel/Business Class passengers are allowed to carry two pieces of hand luggage and each piece cannot exceed 7kg/15lb. Premium Economy/Economy Class passengers are permitted to carry one piece of hand luggage weighing 7kg/15lb.
• The dimensions of each piece of hand luggage may not be larger than 23 × 36 × 56cm / 9 × 14 × 22in or a total of 115cm/45in (personal items are not applied to this regulation).
• For your convenience, a measurement Test Unit is available at either the check-in counter or boarding lounge to help you to determine whether your luggage meets these requirements.
• If the hand luggage is overweight or oversize, it will be checked and carried in the cargo hold, or refused carriage.

Please note that

• Hand luggage must fit under a passenger seat when stowed, in order to prevent it from sliding sideways into the aisle.
• Hand luggage must not obstruct passenger movement to, from or across the aisle.
• Hand luggage stowed in overhead compartments must fit securely, so that flight attendants can close the compartments without using force.
• There is little or no chance of hand luggage or other articles falling out of overhead compartments when the compartment doors are opened.
• Do not keep hand luggage on your lap.
• The aircraft's closet is not suitable for stowing passenger luggage.
• At some airports, hand luggage size may be more limited due to the aircraft's storage capacity (especially A321s) even if your hand luggage size complies with the limited size according to the image above. If the luggage cannot fit into the overhead compartment or under the seat in front of you, it will be stored as checked baggage and placed in the cargo compartment. We appreciate your understanding and co-operation.
• We'd like to remind all passengers, your hand luggage must comply with the hand luggage dimensions and weight limits and must be stored properly by you. If you carry oversize or overweight luggage, you may be required to pay additional charges for it to be transported as checked baggage. We appreciate your understanding and co-operation.

In addition to free hand luggage, each passenger may carry one personal item for all classes with dimensions of 40 × 30 × 10cm / 16 × 12 × 4in or total linear dimensions of 80cm/32in or an item of similar size (subject to local country-specific restrictions, if any). These dimensions include wheels, handles and side pockets. If your item exceeds the total dimensions of 80cm/32in, it will be counted as part of your standard hand luggage allowance. You will then be required to check in either your hand luggage or personal item.

• a purse
• a small backpack
• a briefcase
• a camera case
• rain gear (umbrella, raincoat)
• a limited amount of duty-free merchandise

*A laptop in a thin satchel-style laptop bag is considered to be a personal item. A laptop in a larger laptop bag will be counted as part of a guest's hand luggage allowance.

The above items should be safely stowed in a closed overhead compartment or under the seat. If you put your free personal item in the seat pocket, it should be within the vertical line from the seat back and under no circumstances can it protrude into the aisle. Passengers are permitted to place small bags on their shoulders or laps after fastening their seat belt.

Using small, lightweight portable electronic devices without medical purpose on board, such as personal air-purifying devices and personal humidifiers, shall follow the restrictions below:

• Comply with the hand luggage size and weight limits and regulations governing the use of portable electronic devices.
• Vapour or incense emitted from electronic devices is strictly prohibited.

Please note that you are not permitted to attach any unapproved device to any part of your seat or any other part of the aircraft such as knee defenders or seat belt extensions.

Some special items are not suitable as check-in luggage due to their nature and you must request permission to carry them in the cabin. Such luggage should be stored in the closed overhead compartments or under the seat. If it cannot be placed in the locations mentioned, it will be treated as cabin luggage and you will be charged for an extra seat, including:

• One infant's carrying basket, fully collapsible stroller, pushchair, car seat or CARES harness. A small fully collapsible stroller can be stored in the overhead compartment if there is space available. A large stroller can only be accepted as checked baggage. Before the stroller is checked, please remove the stroller accessories to avoid losing them.
• An infant's necessity items such as diapers, feeding bottles and food for consumption during the flight cannot exceed 5kg when carried on board.
• Walking sticks/wheelchairs/crutches/braces/prosthetic devices/any assistive devices needed by disabled passengers.
• Medicine/medical equipment or supplies, including transplanted organs. For blood transportation, it is necessary to provide a non-infectious certificate from a related clinical laboratory in advance.
• Sculptures/urns in non-square shapes: These items can be accepted in the cabin for placing under the seat in front of the passenger or in a closed overhead compartment to avoid moving, falling or blocking an emergency exit. However, if you do not want to store such items under the seat in front of you or in the closed overhead compartment, they can only be accepted as cabin luggage and you will need to pack them into secure and strong boxes.
• Musical instruments: No cabin luggage can be higher than the seatback, except musical instruments. However, musical instruments cannot block the aisle or obstruct other passengers' view of the emergency signs. Only passengers in aisle seats behind a partition are allowed to store cabin luggage on seats. A cello, accepted as cabin luggage and stored on the passenger deck, cannot block the walkway to an emergency exit; for example, window seats behind a partition are not recommended. Nevertheless, a cello can be accepted in the row in front of the partition only on the condition that passengers have free access to an emergency exit.
• Bulky luggage: Items that cannot be stored in the closed overhead compartments or under the seats and accepted as cabin luggage.
• Valuable items: Cash, financial documents, jewellery, cameras, cell phones, portable electronic devices and other valuables should be kept on your person or in your carry-on bags. You can store such items in a closed overhead compartment or under the seat.

Passengers carrying travel gadgets including Bedbox, Fly-Tot, Plane Pal, or other similar products should comply with the regulations below:

• Must not be used during take-off, landing or taxiing.
• Must not be used in the aisle or exit seats on board.
• Must not cause damage to any facility or personnel on board the aircraft.
• Must not affect the convenience or comfort of other passengers. For example, impeding the reclining range of the seat in front.
• If there is any concern that the Bedbox may make other passengers' movements inconvenient, such a Bedbox can only be used on window seats (ex. A/K) or the inner seats of the centre row between two aisles (ex. E/F). Passengers need to inform reservation staff to pre-arrange suitable seats if they want to use the products on board.

• The restrictions regarding quantity, size, weight and stowing location must be in compliance with hand luggage regulations.
• Whenever the fasten-seat-belt sign turns ON during the flight, or a cabin crew member instructs you to do so, passengers must follow the safety regulations below:

1. For children two years and older, the accompanying adult must ensure the child has a securely fastened seat belt.
2. For infants (younger than two years old) with child fare ticket, the accompanying adult must hold the infant to prevent injuries.

• Using two or more Bedboxes side-by-side across the seats in the same row to lie down is not permitted.

• Passengers must read the manufacturer's instructions, and follow EVA regulations to ensure safety for Bedbox users.
