Frankfurt, Germany - February 13, 2019 - Star Alliance, the world’s largest airline alliance, has partnered with Skyscanner, the world’s travel search engine, to allow travellers visiting the Star Alliance website to search for flights, view airfares and book them directly with its member airlines. This feature, easily accessible alongside the popular lounge finder, flight status and other journey-related services, utilises Skyscanner’s fare search, linking directly to the alliance’s member carrier websites for purchase.
Star Alliance members EVA Air and Air New Zealand initiated a code-share agreement on 02 November, 2018, expanding service networks in Northeast Asia and Oceania. Passengers will have codeshare options from Taipei to major destinations in Japan or Seoul in South Korea operated by EVA Air, as well as codeshare options operated by Air New Zealand from Taipei to Auckland, and onto major cities in New Zealand, as well as Brisbane to both Auckland and Christchurch. Starting from the second half of December, passengers can travel on these codeshare services.

SYDNEY, Australia – June 4th, 2018 – Jeffrey Goh, CEO Star Alliance, used the occasion of the 74th IATA (International Air Transport Association) Annual General Meeting in Sydney to brief the world’s aviation media on the latest developments at the Alliance.
Star Alliance has launched a Digital Services Platform (DSP) as a first step to an overall enhancement of digital and mobile services offered to customers travelling across the 28 airline member Star Alliance network. The platform was developed and implemented in conjunction with global professional services company Accenture (NYSE:ACN) as part of the Alliance’s strategy to further improve the customer journey.
A whirlwind globetrotting trip, stopping only at two destinations for at least 24 hours, is now possible using selected Star Alliance Round the World (RTW) fares. Up to now, a minimum of three stopovers was required for all RTW tickets. This change increases the number of itineraries available under the RTW product for travel on the Star Alliance network.
