TSA PreCheck®

Okt. 26, 2020

The TSA PreCheck® program provides qualifying travelers with a variety of benefits, including a quicker and more convenient airport experience.

Qualifying passengers can move through security at a quicker pace without stopping to remove their shoes, belts, light jackets, laptops and liquids. With benefits such as these, travelers are less likely to wait in long lines or miss their flights, providing them with a more relaxed and enjoyable traveling experience. Children aged 12 and under may also enjoy the benefits of TSA PreCheck® if they are travelling with eligible passenger.

How to apply

The TSA PreCheck® application process is simple, as travelers can apply online through the Transportation Security Administration's (TSA) website. After applying, applicants must undergo a quick in-person interview and background check before they may enjoy the benefits of this program.

After applying for these TSA PreCheck® benefits and obtaining a known traveler number (KTN), passengers can enjoy the benefits of this program for five years before they need to renew their membership.

U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents may apply TSA PreCheck® via https://www.tsa.gov/precheck

Who is eligible?

Travelers with reservation containing a KTN number from:

  • TSA PreCheck®

  • The eligible passenger may apply Global Entry via https://ttp.cbp.dhs.gov/

  • (U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents and Canadian citizens)
  • SENTRI – U.S./Mexico border crossing program
