The Taiwan-based airline made its case for sustainability at the 65th annual conference of the Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA), held online and cohosted by EVA. Clay Sun, the airline’s president, also encouraged his industry colleagues to fully commit to reopening travel and gradually reinvigorating the airline industry. EVA Offers New Online Automated Check-in Service

TAIPEI, TAIWAN (12 August, 2021) EVA Air is continually working to further improve ground-service quality and convenience, especially now with all the challenges created by COVID-19. Starting Wednesday, 11 August, 2021, it began offering “Automated Check-in,” a new online service for passengers taking international flights operated by EVA and UNI Air that is available as soon as they make reservations and pay for their tickets, as many days in advance of their flights as they wish, wherever they are. The system automatically checks them in for every EVA and UNI flight on their trip itinerary. This new service is available at www.evaair.com or on the EVA Mobile APP.

EVA Earns WTTC’s SafeTravels Stamp

TAIPEI, TAIWAN (APRIL 19, 2021) The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) certified EVA Air with a SafeTravels stamp. On behalf of the WTTC, Taipei City Government awarded SafeTravels stamps to 35 organizations, including hotels, travel agencies and exhibition centers. EVA Spokesman David Chen accepted the stamp from Taipei City Mayor Ko Wen-je on behalf of the airline. EVA is now an official member of the international safe travel reception service chain.

The carrier used Responsive Web Design (RWD) technology to give its new website the enhanced accessibility and flexibility it needs to be responsive on a variety of platforms. EVA has built it to deliver consistent services to users on different devices at the office, at home or on the go, using a mobile phone or tablet. The new website is available at www.brcargo.com.

EVA, EGAS Win IATA CEIV Pharma Certifications

(EGAS) both earned certification from the International Air Transport Association’s (IATA’s) Center of Excellence for Independent Validators in Pharmaceutical Logistics (CEIV Pharma). This certification verifies the highest standards in EVA’s and EGAS’s cold chain air and ground service operations at Taoyuan International Airport (TPE). It also distinguishes EVA as one of the few airlines in the world to have obtained certification for air and ground handling operations simultaneously, strengthening its position as one of the leading global one-stop cold chain pharmaceutical product carriers.

EVA in Digital Pilot for COVID-19 Test Result Confirmation Platform allows fast verification of passengers’ PCR outcome

TAIPEI, TAIWAN (25 March, 2021) EVA Air is working with digital-solution-provider Affinidi and joining Singapore Changi Airport in a pilot program that uses a digital platform to verify passengers’ Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test results for its Singapore-Taipei flights. The airline plans to extend this service to flights from Malaysia and Indonesia to Taipei and is evaluating introduction of digital systems on other routes based on trial outcomes.

The latest ranking and assessments were released in the February 2021 edition of Germany’s “AERO International Magazine.” This honor follows EVA’s recent recognition as 6th in AirlineRatings.com’s World’s Safest Airlines for 2021.
