EVA Air unveiled its fourth-generation Premium Economy Class seats with an industry-leading seat pitch of 42 inches. It was presented today during the “Focus on Evolution: Taking Off with Heart” launch event at Evergreen Aviation Technologies Corporation’s No. 4 Hangar. Presided over by EVA Air President Clay Sun, the event showcased the airline’s latest seat design.

EVA Air, together with Evergreen Airline Services and Evergreen Air Cargo Services, has been certified the Center of Excellence for Independent Validators (CEIV) Lithium Batteries certification by the International Air Transport Association (IATA). This recognition makes EVA Air the first airline in Taiwan to achieve dual certification for passenger and cargo operations, highlighting its professional expertise and operational excellence across both sectors. It also shows the airline’s steadfast commitment to aviation safety.

EVA Air has officially launched its 24/7 customer service, offering around-the-clock support exclusively in Chinese and English. This makes EVA Air the first airline in Taiwan to provide this innovative service. Lufthansa Technik AG is proud to announce EVA Air as the first Asian airline having signed for modifications with its drag-reducing and hence fuel-saving AeroSHARK surface technology jointly developed with BASF. The Taipei-based airline decided to have its entire cargo fleet of nine Boeing 777F long-range freighters modified with the innovative riblet films covering the aircraft’s fuselage and engine nacelles. With B-16786, a first EVA Air freighter has already undergone this comprehensive modification at the airline’s homebase at Taipei Taoyuan International Airport. Closely guided by Lufthansa Technik, the modification was executed by EVA Air's affiliate, Evergreen Aviation Technologies Corp. (EGAT). The aircraft is expected to re-enter commercial service in early September.
