EVA Air ranks seventh among AirlineRatings.com’s “Top 25 Safest Full-Service Airlines for 2025”. This marks the airline’s twelfth consecutive year of earning a place among the website’s global ratings for the safest airlines worldwide. The website’s comprehensive safety-rating factors include audits from aviation’s governing and industry bodies, government reviews, the airline’s crash and serious incident record, profitability, industry-leading safety initiatives, and fleet age.

EVA Air has achieved a major milestone in its sustainability journey by debuting on the DJSI Emerging Markets Indices. Due to its leadership and commitment to sustainable practices, the airline secured the highest Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) score in the global aviation sector in the 2024 S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment.

SKYTRAX, an airline and airport review and ranking site, unveiled its “2024 Global Airline Awards” at the Fairmont Windsor Park on Monday, 24 June, 2024. EVA Air President Clay Sun attended on behalf of EVA and accepted 16 of the airline’s awards, including 8th place ranking among the “World's Top 10 Best Airlines” and first for “Best Premium Economy Class Airline Catering” and “Best Premium Economy Class Onboard Catering in Asia” EVA also earned distinction as one of only 10 SKYTRAX’s Five-Star Airlines for nine consecutive years.

EVA Air is set to launch a significant upgrade to its in-flight Wi-Fi service this July, offering complimentary access to “Infinity MileageLands” members across all cabin classes. Passengers can enjoy seamless connectivity when the aircraft reaches 10,000 feet cruising altitude. To promote this upgrade, EVA Air plans to roll out a limited-time summer promotion, from July 1 to September 30, 2025, allowing all passengers—members and non-members alike—onboard Wi-Fi equipped aircraft (Boeing 777-300ER, Boeing 787, and Airbus A330-300) to enjoy free unlimited web browsing Wi-Fi service.

EVA Air is launching a new service between Taipei and Dallas-Fort Worth on October 3 this year, initially operating three weekly flights. The frequency will increase to five weekly flights starting November 18 and become daily from December 15, raising the total number of weekly flights between Taiwan and North America to 94. This gives EVA Air the greatest number of destinations and the most extensive flight network from Taiwan to North America. This new gateway expands EVA Air’s North American reach to nine passenger gateways, including Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto, and Vancouver. The new gateway also makes EVA Air the only airline in Asia operating two destinations in Texas: Houston and Dallas-Fort Worth.

EVA Air, in collaboration with Evergreen Air Cargo Services Corp. and Trade-Van Information Services Co., has successfully completed the pilot program of the International Air Transport Association’s (IATA) ONE Record standard, becoming the first airline in Taiwan to adopt this new framework. ONE Record is IATA’s next-generation digital standard for air cargo, utilizing Application Programming Interface (API) technology to enable real-time, secure data exchange across the global supply chain. This advancement not only enhances logistics transparency and operational efficiency but also significantly reduces paper-based documentation and carbon dioxide emissions, laying the foundation for the digital transformation and sustainable development of the air cargo industry.

EVA Air unveiled its fourth-generation Premium Economy Class seats with an industry-leading seat pitch of 42 inches. It was presented today during the “Focus on Evolution: Taking Off with Heart” launch event at Evergreen Aviation Technologies Corporation’s No. 4 Hangar. Presided over by EVA Air President Clay Sun, the event showcased the airline’s latest seat design.
